Lay a similar garment flat without stretching it. Compare the same points with the measurements shown in the listing or photos: chest and length for tops; waist, rise and inseam for bottoms.

A flat width is not a body measurement. Match the units and measuring method. Vintage and juniors labels can fit differently; if a key measurement is missing, ask before ordering.

Check the photographed label against the listing. Match the sizing system (US, UK or EU), the men’s or women’s designation, and the width, such as B, D or EE.

Compare with a well-fitting pair from the same brand and model when possible. Don’t treat a bare size number as a conversion or a guaranteed fit. Ask if the label and description disagree.

New with tags and deadstock describe the listed condition. Older unworn pieces can still show storage marks or age-related wear, and materials may change over time.

Read the item’s condition notes and inspect close-ups, including soles, seams and fastenings. Check what is said about flaws, tags and packaging rather than assuming they are included. Ask about anything unclear before buying.
